About We Came As Romans

Formed in 2005, the band is renowned for their metalcore sound, which incorporates elemets of hardcore, emo and metal. Drawing influence from the likes of Underoath and Alexisonfire, renowned for their singing/screaming back and forths, as well as more theatrical bands such as Chiodos - We Came As Romans combined this with heavy metal riffs and thrashing breakdowns. Their lyrics largely revolve around themes of togetherness, brotherhood, and morality. Created by high school seniors, the band has undergone several lineup changes, with lead guitarist Joshua Moore being the only original member.
