DAUGHTRY @ SARATOGA MOUNTAIN WINERY - MAY 26TH, 2019

What an awesome concert that almost wasn’t one! Two hours prior to concert there was thunder, heavy showers and hail. Just prior to the show, the storm clouds went away... And then there was DAUGHTRY! Love the bands energy, awesome set list and how Chris moves while displaying his powerful vocals. This was a wonderful experience in a spectacular setting!

DAUGHTRY

Loved Daughtry. The band had great energy and loved the crowd singing along. The live performance held up to the studio versions. Keep up the good work guys! What I did not live was the two warm up bands. Really 2? The first band was ok. The second was terrible and unnecessary. Cut them and get to the main act earlier would have made the entire experience much better. Loved the venue.

LUKEWARM CONCERT

I know Daughtry has an awesome voice…. Too bad we couldn’t hear it. His voice was dwarfed by his band. They are great musicians, no doubt. But It was so loud! All I could hear when he sang was similar to a Charlie Brown cartoon when the teacher talks…. Wa wa Wawa wa wa wa. Maybe I am just getting old. When you pay so much for tickets, you want to leave a concert feeling entertained and pumped up. I left feeling confused. Something was definitely off.

DISAPPOINTED

This is the 7th and probably last time I will see Daughtry and it makes me VERY sad. I was at his first concert at The Other Side in Tulsa and it was unreal. Chris was passionate and on fire and loved playing the gig. Last night was a MASSIVE disappointment. I paid $175 apiece for the VIP Experience and it was a joke. Didn’t even get a t-shirt, much less get to participate in a meet and greet. He’s my favorite rock artist by far in the last 10-15 years and he literally played for like and hour and failed to play SO many of his big songs. He acted like playing “Home” was a burden. He didn’t play the #1 smash hit “Over You” or 15-20 other HUGE hits of his. Rather, we got way too many obscure new songs while the songs that have made him famous, and for which we pay high prices to hear performed live, got ignored. Chris is SO much better than the performance we got last night. Sadly, wife and I rocked out more on the drive home listening to his hits than we did at the concert.

PLAY WHAT PEOPLE CAME TO HEAR

Spent 200 per ticket. Waited forever to hear all the hits! VIP experience promised not given, but we will take your number and call you?????. Daughtry wanted to play his new music, we all sat there stunned for a long while. When he did play one of his many hits he lacked enthusiasm. Seemed like a burden for him to play any of his old music even indirectly told us this. Kept telling the crowd to be yourself and walk your own path. Truly disappointed in the VIP package that we paid for and were not given and not knowing your audience.

WELL, THAT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY.

I've seen Daughtry 3-4 times in the last few years and I LOVED his last concert at the palace. He sat and talked to the audience. He made it feel like we were at a private concert. He was down to earth... engaging... humble. He rocked the music, he shared stories and it was a FANTASTIC experience. Last night, he forgot words, walked off stage (I'm not referring to the band jam time). He criticised the audience - apparently we were disappointing him. He took time to "fix" his guitar while asking us to wait patiently. He asked for the audience to "cover" for him while he got his **** together. He lost his lyrics on 2 songs. The play list wasn't great. I think he lost his audience, and I don't mean just last night. I think he lost fans that will think twice before they shell out money again. It is a shame. He never recovered. At the end of the show - a mass exodus BEFORE the encore which was a good thing. It seems like he wasn't going to come out at all. He was finally "coaxed"
